Do a lot of work in tight urban lots and along fence lines. The R22's zero tail swing means the counterweight stays within the tracks - I can work right against a wall or fence without worrying about the back end hitting something. Game changer for city work.
The 12 included attachments including the hydraulic breaker and stump grinder are the reason I chose this over comparable machines. Even upgrading some attachments later they'd still cost less than the price difference vs premium brands.
Not a head-to-head with Kubota U25 or Bobcat E20. For contractors and serious property owners the R22 delivers real capability at a fraction of premium brand pricing. The zero tail swing and attachment package are the differentiators.
The D1105 is a proven engine and it performs as expected. The rest of the chassis is functional but has visible cost cuts vs premium brands. The included attachments and warranty make the value equation work though.
The core machine and Kubota engine are excellent. Attachment quality varies - the buckets and breaker are solid, some specialty attachments are functional but not top-tier. Still incredible value for the complete package.
